Space in the cabin

I'm building a "Super" Pelican, with a raised foredeck. My original plan was to put seats that could double as bunks in the cabin. While measuring the cabin last night, I realized that seats wide enough to be bunks (21" wide) left practically no legroom near the centerboard trunk (about 13" from bunk to trunk). I'd like to have seats - somewhere - that can be used for sleeping on, but it seems to be a choice of a usable cabin or bunks.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to resolve this?

Here (in no particular order) are few solutions I've seen or built that seem to work well.

A. Build the bunks all the way across to the trunk, with hatches to access the storage below. Sitting is cross-legged.

B. Full width bunk on one side, narrower settee (16"-17") on the other.

C. Two piece settee/bunk. Second section folds or slides out to make bunk. The backrest cushion becomes the other side of the bunk when folded out.

Hope this helps,
Jeff
