Thanks Jeff for taking me into the group. I am almost ( in 6 days ) 83 years old but still think I'm 28. Through the years have built almost everything at least once. I won't bore you with the list. One of the things is a Great Pelican. One of the greatest boats ever. Even though I feel wonderful now I know the time has come to limet the amount of toys I have so the GP is looking for a new owner . if anyone would like to ask about it just e-mail me at olyumabill@aol.com EVERYBODY HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Hello Bill, thanks for the e-mail concerning your boat. Trouble is, right now, I don't have the money. If it is still available come next spring, I might give you a yell. I have a good amount of money coming to me then. I hate to hear that you are giving up on sailing. I am happy that God has blessed you with the health to sail into the sunset. I remember about 20 years ago, I met a group of three old timers who were returning from the bikers rally held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota. They had ridden from someplace in North Carolina to Sturgis and were on their way back. All three gentlemen were on older Harleys. The grandfather of the bunch, an 83 year old fellow was on a '42 (I think) with a suicide shifter. I ran outside to watch as they left the parking lot. I felt as though I was watching the shuttle lift off. The other two guys got out in traffic and were gone before grandpa could. He waited until traffic cleared and then ran the heck out of that thing to no end, roaring all the way down the road. I think this guy was probabley taking a much more difficult path than you. I hope you are not selling yourself short by getting rid or your boat. Your boat loves you and needs you. You must be a real inspiration to all who see you on the water. Rodney
